The Tudor Black Bay Chrono combines elements of the Tudor brand’s history into a modern chronograph movement. Combining vintage and contemporary elements, the newest incarnation of the Black Bay Chrono is inspired by the first chronograph launched in 1970.

This sporty chronograph watch features a satin-brushed and polished 41mm-wide steel case, a fixed bezel with a black anodized aluminum insert, and a tachymetric scale. The watch comes with its iconic “Snowflake” hour hand that is accented with Swiss Super-LumiNova luminescent material, allowing you to identify the time even in a dim environment. It also features a date function located at the 6’ o’clock position for added functionality. Plus, a scratch-resistant and shatterproof domed sapphire crystal to finish it off.

As for its movement, the Tudor Black Bay Chrono is powered by the self-winding Calibre MT5813. Its movement is equipped with a silicon balance spring and a vertical clutch that ensures accurate timekeeping for up to 70 hours and is certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), thus ensuring reliability.

Quality and Durability

A stainless steel fixed bezel with a matte black anodized disc holding a convenient tachymeter scale in white indicators is mounted on top of the case. Unlike other Tudor Black Bay watches, which feature unidirectional rotating bezels with elapsed time scales, this watch has a bidirectional spinning bezel. The Tudor Black Bay Chrono’s aristocratic atmosphere is enhanced by the classic combination of silver case and black aluminum bezel.

The Black Bay Chrono, like most Tudor watches, is a fantastic value. The build quality is top-of-the-line, and the movement is among the most advanced in its price range. Noticeably, the Black Bay Chrono panda or reversed panda dials are distinctive, while preserving all of Tudor’s signature design aspects.

Tudor guarantees the proper functioning of this watch for a period of five years from the date of purchase. The guarantee excludes normal wear-and-tear (notably the wear-and-tear of non-metal bracelets and straps), loss, theft, or damage due to misuse.
