What Do People Say About It?

Amazon

A customer named TyCo left a positive review of the Tissot Men’s Gentleman Stainless Steel Watch. He rated it five stars and described it as an “excellent value for an automatic timepiece, [and] keeps very good time.”

He commented, “I’ve only had the watch for a day but wanted to leave a quick review to share some notes.

So far, it keeps VERY good time, better than any of the automatics I own (including a Rolex Submariner, Tag Heuer Aquaracer, Tag Heuer Formula One, and several other subs $1k watches). I set it to an atomic time app on my phone yesterday, and 24 hours later, it’s still SPOT on – [it] hasn’t gained/lost even a 1/10 of a second.

He added, ”I was shocked to see it’s kept PERFECT time for the last day. I’m blown away so far. I’ve worn it the entire time, and we’ll see how well it keeps time while stored in a winder.

The watch has a 22 mm leather band, [which] fits without any issues (you just need to squeeze in the leather a tad). I doubt it would work with a 22 mm metal bracelet, but leather works great. Just FYI, since the 21 mm lug width is kind of odd.

The face isn’t as lustrous as the images make it look, but it’s still a great-looking watch. For a sub $1000 automatic, you can’t go wrong. This watch is a fantastic watch at a great price. It’ll be my daily driver for some time, I’m sure. If I have any issues in the future, I’ll update the review.

Meanwhile, another customer with the username M.Girgis praised the Citizen Pro Master Dive Eco-Drive watch. He also rated it five stars and briefly described it as the “best watch he ever had.

He wrote, “I haven’t rated the water resistance because I haven’t tried that yet, but I trust Citizen. I [also] own several [other watches] and never had an issue with them. Onto the watch, I fell in love for the first time.

[It’s a] beautiful watch, and [it’s] not heavy, considering it has a 200 m water resistance rating, [which is] easy to adjust and is accurate. The illumination is one of the best and strongest I have seen before. My only complaint is the band; it is a bit rugged and harsh, but it’s an easy fix for me. I will get a soft silicone band, and I’m ready.”

He also updated the comment after finally trying the water resistance. He shared, “First, I got to try it in water; it works as advertised. Second, it was tough to find a band that was both comfortable and functional and color matching to this watch. It’s a mat gold, so [it’s] not easy to find something to match it.

I finally found this band which is made of a thick silicone material. [It was also] advertised as waterproof, so it supposedly functions similarly to the original one. The only issue was that the buckle was a standard silver color, so I just with the original buckle for a perfect match.”

The Verdict: Which Is Best For You?

If you prefer a sports watch with excellent reliability and accuracy, opt for Tissot. Meanwhile, you can choose Citizen if you prefer a more affordable everyday watch you can wear with any outfit and occasion.
